Manav Sewa Ashram was set up in 2012 in Chitwan to combat the problem of homelessness. Manav Sewa Ashram is a youth led committee that is tackling homelessness in various cities like Hetauda, Chitwan, and most recently, in Kathmandu. Manav Sewa Ashram considers over public's continuous apathy towards those who have been shunned to the streets. Manav Sewa Ashram has rescued 400 people from the streets in Chitwan, Kathmandu and Makwanpur in the last four years. The people who were rescued from streets were disabled persons, women and children. The rescued people were helpless and people mostly from marginalized groups. Over the years, the organization has extended its services in Kathmandu and Makwanpur. Today, around 150 people are staying in shelters run by the organization in the three districts. The people staying in the shelters include intellectually challenged persons and women who were raped in streets. The Manav Sewa Ashram has helped many people in the past and continues on doing the same.

As we all know Food is any substance that is consumed to provide nutritional support for an organism. It is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains essential nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals. The substance is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the organism's cells to provide energy, maintain life, or stimulate growth.

The right to food is a human right derived from the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), recognizing the "right to an adequate standard of living, including adequate food", as well as the "fundamental right to be free from hunger".
