Daycare Support center established

Day care is the care of a child during the day by a person other than the child's legal guardians, typically performed by someone outside the child's immediate family. Day care is typically an ongoing service during specific periods, such as the parents' time at work. The vast majority of childcare is still performed by the parents, in-house nannies or through informal arrangements with relatives, neighbors or friends. Child care in the child's own home is traditionally provided by a nanny, or by extended family members including grandparents, aunts and uncles. Child care is provided in nurseries or by a nanny or family child care provider caring for children in their own homes. It can also take on a more formal structure, with education, child development, discipline and even preschool education falling into the fold of services.

Most of the families shift to Pokhara due to the previous conflict and general economics from the neighboring villages, and settle in the hardest environments, in the poverty areas around the city. Such families do not have sufficient money to send their children to the daycare centers, so that their parents can go and find work to support their family. The Butterfly Foundation’s daycare program is helping the people find jobs so that they can support their family.

The Butterfly Foundation had established the BFN Kindergarten in 2003 to support and help the people of the area below the poverty line find jobs as they can send their children to a trustworthy daycare center can they themselves can do their jobs and support the families.

Sponsorship programs for the children

The Butterfly Foundation has started sponsorship programs for the better future of the students around Pokhara . The sponsorship program helps the people to educate their children and help them build a better future for themselves. The sponsorship program has been helping the children to educate themselves and help them create a better future for themselves. The Butterfly Foundation has started to support the children through sponsorship programs as this can change the possibilities of the children and the future Nepal. The sponsorship program also helps the parents of the children as the people are below poverty line and couldnot afford to send their children to school. The  oppoutunity provided by The Butterfly Foundation to the children helps them shape thier future.

Dhikurpokhari is a suburb and Village Development Committee in Kaski District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. The people of the area are facing many problems due to the rivers in the route of their schools and other places. Due to the rivers in between the people of the village have to walk a long way to reach to their destination. The Butterfly Foundation had built a bridge with the kind donation provided from BIKAS. The bridge built by them has not only benefitted the children but also  the villagers but one bridge is not enough as there are many other routes where the river is causing a problem. The bridge built by the Butterfly Foundation is situated in Dhikurpokhari of the Kaski district, the foundation plans on helping the villagers with the problem in the future too.
